Project Scope

This major shutdown included upgrades to WestRock Solvay's PM 1 to replace existing TP & BP Headboxes supplied by Bellmer. The BP Headbox was fitted with Dilution Control, Kadant Pressure Screens and Sultzer Fan Pumps to improve WE performance and production increase. The project also included the addition of a new DE Pulper to handle the increased capacity. LGL was responsible for pre-construction planning with the WestRock team to set pre-shut and shutdown activities, including demolition of the existing equipment, concrete bases, stock approach piping and tubing for the execution of a successful 15-day 24/7 shutdown.
